We use vinegar to clean dirt and mess.
Hydrogen peroxide to disinfect and to ‘whiten’ things up. Sometimes rubbing alcohol to really disinfect the environment.

Baking soda to scour sinks/tubs and as a carpet deodourizer, add a little essential oil for a scent. eg. lemongrass

Febreeze and plug ins, etc. are full of very nasty chemicals, I burn essential oil incense to fragrant a room.

Really easy on the pocket book as well!
