And the winner is…

Jake is now 12, a little hard of hearing and his sight is going, but our baby still, now with the kids all grown and gone.
He came from the shelter as an 8 week old. A largish dog, with a LOT of long/wavy hair.
Since he always looks like he is happy and “smiling”, people always stop us on our walks and ask what breed he is. I would love to be able to tell them more then “a mutt”, or “a Canadian Dog”:) Some have suggested he looks like a Bearded Collie or a Bouvier mix of some kind.

Congratulations Christine!

Thank you to all who participated!!

DNA My Dog has a test that will tell you every breed in your dog through your dog’s own unique DNA.One simple cheek swab and you will have a breakdown, by percentage, of all every breed in your dog. Results include a beautiful certificate, suitable for framing, a breakdown of all of the breeds found in your dog and all of the genetic health risks and personality traits associated with each breed found in your dog. The test is easy and painless and results are available in two weeks.

DNA My Dog is hosting a contest for the readers of the Ottawa Dog Blog! You could win a free DNA my dog kit!

To enter: in the comments below, leave your name, your dog’s name, dog’s age and what you think their mix is! If you already know their mix, you can still enter and donate the prize to your favourite rescue – if this is the case, please list the rescue you’d like to support in lieu of guessing your dog’s breed.

Contest is open to all Canadian residents and will run until Friday August 10th at noon. Winner will be chosen at random by a random number generator.

Facebook entries will not be counted.

Good luck!!
