If you want an easy way to give back to the Ottawa Humane Society,
Peitho Inc. is donating $1 to the Ottawa Humane Society for every Facebook “like” gained from Aug 20 to Sept 16.
I don’t know much about the company, but anyone who supports the Humane Society is alright by me. You can check out their press release below:

Peitho has successfully marked its territory in Ottawa and is ready to sink its claws into North America and Europe with its full-service offerings and specialization in both lead generation and social media marketing.
The Peitho staff are London, Bo Peep, Kubrick, Lola, and Murray… Or are those our cats and dogs? At Peitho, business casual Friday constitutes covered-in-pet-hair Friday. Our CEO and founder, Stephen Shinnan, is the proud papa of two rescued cats, while Selena, a business development representative, has a very special pit-bull that was saved from an abusive home. Veronica, the social media specialist, has two adopted cats and has been a volunteer foster-mom for Hungry and Homeless Cat Rescue.
If it wasn’t clear, Peitho loves pets. It was during a brainstorm on increasing our own community presence when the idea pounced on us like a frisky kitty – promote a viral campaign wherein we donate $1 to the Ottawa Humane Society for every unique “like” our Facebook page receives.
We recognize that Ottawa Humane Society does invaluable work in our community, and is sorely underfunded. Not only do they care for found, lost, and surrendered pets, but they work within the community to educate about responsible pet ownership.
We are proud to support local animal charities, and hope that this campaign grows as it continues to go viral. Peitho was at 646 Facebook likes upon the launch of this campaign, and has pledged $154 (and counting) at the time of this release.
A simple click of your mouse is all it takes to support a burgeoning local business and our very own Ottawa Humane Society.
