(Ottawa Dog of the Week for October 29th, 2012)
Our furry friend is an Airedale Terrier named Murphy. He turned 2 years old in May and has brought such joy to our life. We got Murphy from Princedale Breeders in July 2010.
We always describe him as a clown because whatever he does, makes us laugh. He loves to play fetch, go to the dog park to play with his doggie friends and swim. When there is water close by, you will find Murphy in the water too.
Even though Murphy is 2 years old, We still keep him in his crate when we are not home. He is very mischievious, it only takes him 5 minutes when we aren’t in the same room for him to get into trouble. If there are snacks left on the coffee table, he will be sure to get his share.
We cannot buy nice little toy’s for Murphy because he will chew them up and eat it, Murphy’s toys consist of knuckle bones and nyla bones (the only things he can’t destroy in an hour) He has owned 4 of the black kongs and now doesn’t own one because once he licks all of the peanut butter out he chews up the kong.
We can’t imagine life without Murphy, he is our pride & joy
