Canada Pooch is one of my favourite Canadian companies. They make fantastic gear for dogs. I posted awhile ago about their spring collection.

Canada Pooch sent me one of their new Pacific Ponchos to try out. As I expected, I totally love it. As with all their products, it is really well made. The coat is great for spring and summer because it has a thin mesh lining which won’t overheat your dog.

Another handy feature is that it easily folds up into a pocket attached to the coat. When folded up, the pouch is small and easily portable. Perfect for sticking in a bag if the weather is being unpredictable.

Sonnet thought it looked pretty fun.

Sonnet is 13 inches, which puts her size right between a 12 and a 14. I ordered a 14 because I thought it would be safer, but since the coat has no lining, the 14 was much too big on her. So if you have a pooch in between sizes, I would recommend going with the smaller size or finding a store where you can try them on. You can find a store near you through the store locator.

Luckily I found a bigger dog to enjoy the coat, but I’ll be ordering a smaller one for Sonnet soon.

Sonnet is so cute in these photos! LOVE that the coat folds up into a small pouch – that is so genius for days where it looks like it could rain, but isn’t when your walk begins.

    Hey Jane!

I just came across this post while searching for Canada Pooch Rainwear as I have heard good things about it… Anyways I am from Ottawa and just wanted to say that I love your site! I’ve got it bookmarked and will definitely be a regular visitor :)

I have a question for you if you don’t mind… I am a real estate agent here in Ottawa and I sometimes get asked questions about dog friendly neighborhoods or areas in Ottawa that are best for people with dogs.

Have you ever posted an article going over some of the better dog parks or dog friendly areas? If so I would love if you could point me in the right directly.

    Many thanks!
