Notes: Located just south of the Queensway on Fairmont Ave, this park is a great spot to let your dog out for a run. Lots of space, and located near fairly low traffic streets. Weedays at 5PM is a good time to meet other dogs of all breeds and sizes. **Dogs only allowed south of the tennis courts.

Notes: Located at Elgin St and Gilmour St. Great for small dogs and puppies, this park is not fenced and there is traffic all around the park.

Arboretum

Notes: Absolutely beautiful, lots of green space and friendly dogs. NOTE: This is no longer an off leash park – you will be fined if your dog is caught off leash. Read the store here.

Brewer Park

Notes: Great park with swimming, tons of space, and great group of people and dogs of all sizes. Dog area is east of the softball diamonds.

Notes: This park listed at Rideau and Cobourg, but its actually better listed as Tormey and Cobourg. It is also called MacDonald Gardens, and dogs are only allowed on the west side

Cathcart Square Park

Notes: It is a small off leash park full of friendly dogs and owners. The streets around it are not that busy but there are busy roads near by. If you are there around 5:00pm weeknights it is absolutly packed with dogs and is so much fun!

Sylvia Holden/Lansdowne Park

Notes: Fenced in dog park, about 2 acres. There is intermittently free parking at Lansdowne (enter of QE Drive) – if ou have a dog in your car and tell them that you are going to the dog park, they will let you park for free

Bordeleau Park

Notes: Good Park. Just recently named. Offleash area is bordered by road, tennis courts and river. Quiet strip of Bruyere in market. South of King Edward.

Heritage Park

Notes: There are trails in the bush that surround the baseball field area. Open space for training/playing. Nice and quiet place to walk your dog(s). Not an official off leash area, but there are no signs.

Apollo Crater

Notes: Big open natural crater where people let their dogs run in the middle. No playground here, just grass. Kids tobaggan in the the winter. It is just North off Merkley.

Elmridge park

Notes: This park has been recently delegated off leash between the hours of 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm daily, thanks to community effort.

NRC Motreal Rd campus
Notes: Polanyi Rd. Between CSIS building and NRC M50 building. Off leash and walking trails.

Pine Hill
Notes: Lisgar rd. between Mariposa and Princess. Off leash and mostly forested, some open fields. Dog owners actually walk here as opposed to standing around talking!

The Rockeries
Notes: Hillsdale at Cloverdale. Vast field with plenty of walking trails going through the forest as well. Off-leash, tons of room. No busy roads nearby. There is a small parking lot and free street parking on all the roads nearby. Rarely crowded.
