Bark in Westboro Dog Socials postponed ’till the fall…Sunday Walks still on!

With the summer heat in full swing and holidays in vogue, Stella Social has decided to cancel the social get togethers and start them up again in the fall. You can continue to register your dogs for membership with our social clubs. New dates will be posted and invites will be sent out via email.

Our group walks are still happening at the Arboretum pathways with Dave and his dogs. Sunday July 24th, August 7th, 21st & 28th from 10 to 11 are designated for this great social opportunity to exercise dogs & their masters with a group who has similar objectives when walking amongst other dogs & people. The UrbanDogPhotog Sue Bird will be at Bark & Fitz Westboro Monday & Tuesday evenings May 30th & 31st for a Custom Umbrella Photo Shoot session so you can have your very own dog(s) on an umbrella. The $113 sitting fee includes taxes, one custom umbrella, an 8X8 finished print and a $10 donation to B.A.R.K. rescue.

Dog Socials & Sunday walks with B&F Westboro

WALK WITH A PACK @ THE PIT: May 1st, 15th, 29th & June 5th

Starting in May, on designated Sundays from 10:00 to 11:00am, meet B&F Westboro’s manager Dave Loney (proud owner of Prince, Trouble & Brutus) at Bruce Pit.

You and your dog(s) will walk the trails with an organized group to encourage proper “walking on leash” with other dogs & humans. Off leash play time will be optional at the end of the walk and Dave will have plenty of treats as well as poop pick up bags on hand. Our first goal with these organized walks will be to form a Bark & Fitz team for BARK Rescue’s annual walkathon held this year at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Sunday, June 12th.

DOG SOCIAL CLUBS @ Bark & Fitz Westboro

Back by popular demand are the Dog Social Clubs with Bark & Fitz Westboro. We’re planning April & May in-door socials as we continue to muddle through the chilly spring weather. Westboro in-store dog socials are designed for dogs to hang out with dogs of similar breed or size under the watchful eye of their owners. Our in-store socials are held on weekday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Taste testing our gourmet food and treats for our canine club members is provided, sniff and play time is a given. Special guests, toy testing/sharing, Good Dog Wall photo booth and $5 nailclips for B.A.R.K. rescue just to name a few of the activities that we are planning on having (but not necessarily all at the same time).

To register with our Dog Social Clubs, email Stella Social with your name, dog’s name, breed description, month & year of birth, along with their favourite treat & food. Stella will write back with what Social Club your dog belongs to and when the next social is. In-door socials at the store are $5 per family. Proceeds will be donated to B.A.R.K. rescue and will include the nailclip, treat & food tasting.
