Molly went missing on Tuesday evening from the older part of Richmond, On, near Perth st. and Colonel Murray st.  She was wearing a black collar with a blue dog tag with our phone number on it.  She is also microchipped and is listed with the Canadian chip recovery.  She is 16months, and approx 100lbs.  Great nature, and perfect markings

(Ottawa Dog of the Week for October 25th/10)

“This is Rory, she turned 3 years old on August 28th. She is a Bernese Mountain dog, and is the sweetest little girl. She loves attention, especially from men, but will sit on anyone’s feet if they will give her a good rub. She has a few hobbies which include Carting, learning tricks (we are working on “play dead”) and doing obedience just for fun. She loves to chase Squirrels, birds and ducks. She likes to wade in the Rideau river but will not swim. She is a fantastic girl and I am so lucky to share my life with her.” – Rory’s mom, Shoshi.

(Ottawa Dog of the Week for August 17th/09)

“Maya is a Bernese Mountain dog and she will be 3 years old on October 14. We adopted her from her original family when she was 1.5 years old. Maya is a wonderful companion, you couldn’t ask for anything more. She helped us heal after losing our beloved Belle at just 5 years old of cancer in 2008. Maya fit in our family within hours. It started when we picked her up. She just hopped in the car as soon as the door opened and was ready to go. We haven’t looked back since! She moved from the city to the country and she is the happiest dog you have ever seen! Maya is very chatty and when she isn’t the center of attention she makes sure you know. She also does a pretty good impression of the Moonwalk too. She enjoys going for long walks in the woods and just being with her humans (even Buttons, our cat!). She must always have her toy “Moose” with her, she carries it around like her baby until too much fuzz builds up in her mouth and she spits it out. She lives up to her breed’s standard with her demeanour and intelligence. I could go on and on about Maya but most importantly she is the best friend we could have ever asked for.” – Maya’s Mom, Renée

(Ottawa Dog of the Week for March 16th/09)

“Emery is a 17 month old Bernese Mountain Dog / Border Collie Mix. Em, as he’s known in Britannia, is a big fan of the snow; running in it, rolling in it or just lying in it. He loves chasing tennis balls and is amazing with a soccer ball. He is however a proficient pick pocket and all around thief known to have run off with cell phones (other peoples) water bottles and dog toys on many occasions. In the summer his number one activity is swimming after tennis balls by the Deschenes Rapids. He loves kids and knows most in the neighbourhood thanks to being walked by a 10 year old daily when he was a puppy, it doesn’t get any better than that. Emery goes out to Bruce Pit quite regularly and has a large circle of dog friends there. Living proof that dogs like trucks, Emery loves to ride up front with a commanding view of the road. He spends weekdays (weather permitting) in a 10’ x 28’ dog run where he receives regular visits from friends and neighbours.
