Playing dead on Letterman – too funny! I’ve never seen it done this way before!
Who doesn’t love watching puppies play on a Friday morning?! Just wait until the puppies meet the resident cat – too cute!
Kellie, the Doodle Dog Painter is searching for incredible photos to take inspiration from for her latest works. She is putting together a collection of Greyhound paintings special for Dewey Beach, Greyhounds in Art 2009. The pieces will focus on head and shoulder shots in a big scale!
If you have photos you can share with her that would be super! The best photos would be taken at eye level and with clear detail! The Greyhounds can be smiling, panting, alert and ready, or even calm magestic faces. The more the better!
You can email them to Kellie and title it GREYHOUND PHOTOS! She will notify those that are being used to inspire her pieces!

This breed likely doesn’t need an introduction. Chances are you either own, or have owned, a Labrador Retriever. Or you’ve got a friend or family member who does.
Commonly known as ‘Labs’, these delightful, friendly and extremely fun-loving dogs are the most most popular dog breed in North America. According to the American Kennel Club, Labs have been the number one dog in the U.S for the last 16 years!
As their name suggests, Labs are a type of retriever. Just like their cousins, the ‘Golden Retrievers’, Labs are part of the Gun Dog group. They were bred to retrieve game and waterfowl for hunters.
Labs are fairly large dogs with a sturdy, athletic build. Their coats are usually yellow, black or Chocolate. They are also very intelligent dogs, and have a mild-mannered, easygoing temperament. We’ve had many Lab clients over the years and they have all had wonderful personalities.
Not many people know this, but I am getting married in August. We are having a nice small ceremony and reception in our backyard surrounded by family, with two family members in particular; Paddington and Corduroy. It was important to me to have my dogs at my wedding, probably because I am a self-proclaimed crazy dog lady and because they are such a huge part of our lives. I am thrilled that the pups will be free to be with us on our big day.
I am not dressing the dogs up at all, Paddy may wear her pearl collar, but that’s about it. I do have a friend who is having their dog be the ring bearer and because of this, have made sure he looks spiffy in a bow tie. Certain websites have entire sections dedicated to doggy wedding gear and there was even a dog marriage at Woofstock in Toronto this summer.
While my personal opinion is that dog marriages are a tad silly, I do think it’s cute for a male dog to don a bow tie, but Paddington’s pearls are as far as I would go in dressing my dogs up for our wedding.
What are your thoughts on having dogs in weddings? What about dressing up for weddings?
