“We adopted Lola about 6 years ago from a rescue organization Ottawa near Manotick. She is a shepherd mix. approximately 7-8 years old. She had been a stray pick up in Cornwall. She was terrified of everything when we got her, scared of traffic and noise. We had to show her how to use stairs. Her personality slowly came out. My husband Kevin and I have not looked back since. Lola is now a happy well adjusted dog, loves to go camping, swimming and walks with her pack.” Lola’s Humans.

I am so excited to launch my newest endeavour: FREE Monthly Desktop Backgrounds!

If you are like me, you have calendars everywhere, and if you aren’t, I am sure you would like to glance at one from time to time. I wanted to combine my love of design, photography, computers and calendars and this is what was born.

I will release 2 new calendars every month. The first one will be here and will feature dogs (obviously!). I will also be releasing one through my photography website, elizabeth&jane photography which will feature babies, kiddos, people in love and other awesomeness every month!

I hope you enjoy our first calendar featuring Lovely Lola! This was one of my favourite photos and it just had to be the photo for the month of April.

We received our new leash holder from Pets Unleashed within days of ordering it. I LOVE it! It is sturdy, well made and goes with our décor. It took me under five mins to put it up.

I will recommend this product to friends… it would make a great gift for any dog loving friend who has everything.

We lost our dog of 15 ½ years, Tasha, in January and adopted Lola in July. My husband commented “this is the first thing we have on our walls that is about Lola.”

(Ottawa Dog of the Week for October 12th/09)

“Lola is our Aussie Shep/Beagle mix we adopted eight weeks ago… at eight months old she is full of beans with personality plus. She’s just recovered from being spayed and we are now exercising her again – which has drastically improved our sanity and hers! She is about to start doggy day care.

Our last beloved dog Tasha was 15 ½ when we lost her in January and we had forgotten how much energy is involved in raising a puppy… but with training, lots and lots of exercising and TLC we are seeing how happy and content she can be.” – Lola’s Humans, Jacqui and Mike
