(Ottawa Dog of the Week for April 27th/09)

“Sophie is an 8 year old?? Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retreiver. She was found badly matted, confused and terrified wandering in Gatineau. She was rescued and brought to Hopeful Hearts where I quickly adopted her.
She came into my home at the beginning of November 2008. You could not approach her, she would cower and scream. She limped and was in constant pain. I had her teeth cleaned and some extraced and five tumours removed (all benign) thanks to Dr. Zarkeshvari. She is on glucosamine sulfate and vitamin C and has a home cooked diet.
Sophie is now full of energy. She greets all whom she meets, is a social butterfly and sings when I play the harmonica for her. She shares her home with Bubba and is a camera fiend. These photos were taken by Liz Kerrison at a photo shoot for Bubba!
We are very blessed to have Sophie in our lives.” – Sophie’s Mom, Karine
