“This is Piper she is about 8 months old now. We adopted her from the Paws R Us Puppymill bust. We met her the last Saturday that the Emergency shelter was open. It was love at first sight for me, and she came home the next Thursday. She has been with us since before Christmas and is doing so well. She is a very sweet Puppy and we are so happy to be able to say she is home.” Piper’s Humans, Leonard and Tauney.
Global National will be airing a story about Paws R Us tonight at 5:30pm. Hopefully it will bring good news about the courts’ decision.
Unless you live under a rock, you’ve probably now heard of the raid on Paws R Us in Shawville Quebec last Friday. More than 500 dogs were rescued from the suspected puppy mill by Humane Society International/Canada, the Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Quèbec and local police.

Liz Bradley is a dog lover who lives in Ottawa, Ontario with her husband, Thomas, and their three little girls, Paddington, Corduroy and Wellington. Paddington is a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) and was born in September 2006 - she's a ball of energy and both Thomas and Liz love her to bits. Corduroy is a Malshi (Maltese/Shih Tzu) and was born in January 2008 - she is bold, determined and will lick you constantly if you let her. Wellington, our newest addition, is a one-year-old ShihTzu/Yorkie mix who we rescued in March from Animatch. She is full of energy and her favourite things are bananas, her Kong Wubba toy and curling up on her humans for a nap.
