Ottawa Dog Blog is joining forces with Bark & Fitz Ottawa to host an on-line voting Halloween Contest for dogs and their masters in disguise. Participants will qualify for great prizes along with downloadable photos and an invitation to our Dogs in Disguise Soiree on October 31st between 6PM & 9PM at the Kanata Centrum location.
How to enter: Your dog’s photo must be taken by Liz from Ottawa Dog Blog and an entry form filled out. Contest photos will then be posted on www.ottawadogblog.ca where anyone can vote for their favourite Dog in Disguise from 4 categories (Best Small, Medium and Large Dog in Disguise, and Best Dog and Master in Disguise). You have the option of dressing up your dog or if your dog has been living their life in disguise simply state who your dog strongly resembles on your entry form.
Voting will take place online through this website from October 27th through October 31st (closing at 12 noon). All voting results will be posted on November 1st on ottawadogblog.ca and will be unveiled at our Dogs in Disguise Social October 31st.

How would you classify or explain your style of dog photography?
I would prefer to explain rather than classify! It seems to me that the objective of photography is to reveal something of the essential nature of the subject (be it human, landscape, or canine) to the viewer. I like to make images that are revealing of their subjects in new and interesting ways.
How did you get into doing dog-related photography?
It seems as though it was a natural merging of interests. I have been seriously photographing for about ten years. I have always been a dog person.
