“I would like to nominate our 15 week old Mini-Schnoodle puppy, Abby to be the Ottawa Dog of the Week. She is the newest puppy in Sandy Hill and is already melting the hearts of everyone she passes on the sidewalk. She is super friendly to people and other dogs, energetic, and is always up for a cozy snuggle on the couch. Abby would be a wonderful addition to the Ottawa Dog of the Week legacy and she will also bring a relatively unknown mix breed (Schnauzer / Poodle) to light in our city!” – Abby’s Mom, Jennifer

“Belle is a mini-schnauzer. She’s only 8 months old but is very smart and was house trained at 3 months. She’s very good house dog and alerts us with her cute quiet little barks when a stranger walks by. She loves playing in the snow and can’t get enough of it.
She is very affectionate with people once she is familiar with them and is so playful. She loves going to Grandma’s house when Mommy and Daddy go to work because Grandma has a Bull Terrier named Maggie and they’ve become the best of friends.
Her favorite place to go is to Bruce Pit on the weekends and puppy class at Petsmart. She loves playing with other dogs, especially bigger dogs because she thinks she’s a big dog herself.” – Belle’s Owner, Tran

CLAUDIA HAS BEEN FOUND!!
From Claudia’s mom, Debbie: “We have found Claudia!!! We now have her home. She has hurt her right eye and has minor scrapes on her paws, but she is okay. She is sleeping and getting rehydrated. We are absolutely grateful for all the help we’ve been given. We just moved to Ottawa last year and the support we’ve had in searching for Claudia has been amazing. Three young women saw her in the road and chased her to another woman’s house. We have cried so much this weekend, but we are so happy that it has ended with tears of joy. The vet told us we were lucky. After two days in the cold, Claudia is back in her warm bed. Thank you again for everything.”

“Tinsley, a 1.5 year old Standard Schnauzer, is a little dog with a big personality! Ever the drama queen, she loves to ham it up for pictures and seems to find herself at the center of attention wherever she goes. Her sweet spirit will melt your heart. Controlling the squirrel population keeps her pretty busy, but in her spare time she enjoys cuddling, shopping at Wag and at Bark & Fitz, and going for leisurely walks in the market.” – Tinsley’s mom, Tina
