Stop by The Dog House at 1033 Maitland Avenue and get your car washed for a $15 donation to Bullies in Need.
Bullies in Need is itself in need of funds after a lot of recent vet bills:
“Yes, our little guy Einstein was sick, then recovered, then broke his leg… He is now recovering from that in his foster home. All to the tune of just over $2000…!
We also took on a pregnant rotti/lab mom from a high-kill pound, who gave birth to 6 happy puppies. The pups and mom then all ended up sick with a horrible strain of kennel cough (that seems to be going around). We rushed them into emergency and they were treated. Again, all to the tune of over $1000…!”

“Benson, aka: Ben, Benny, Mr. B…. is a year old Boston Terrier Dachshund mix. Like his breeding, Benson is unique, a dog with a character all his own. Benson enjoys basking in the sun, playing with his favourite Orbee ball, and going for adventures in the woods with his mom. More recently Benson has been enjoying his time at The Dog House where he has met lots of new friends both canine and human.” – Benson’s mom, Lorian

“Einstein is now 6.5 years young. His mixed breed is still up for debate. I have always called him a hound/lab mix, but. When you see his litter mates, some may say Alaskan Husky/Retriever. Einstein is the dog I say, “there will never be another dog like him”. With his majestic, dignified manner, one may say he is a knight in shining armor. He lives his destiny intact due to having a heart murmur and arrhythmia, but does so very well. He really helps out at The Dog House, comforting dogs on their first day, letting a puppy know they’ve gone too far, playing with ‘the big guy’ who all avoid and letting me know when a new dog has arrived for the day. Einstein often seems to get lost in a day dream.
Einstein is Love. I just don’t know what I’d do without him.” – Einstein’s mom, Anne
