Nestle Purina® Petcare will make donations totaling $25,000.00 to Therapeutic Paws of Canada, Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides and National Service Dogs.
Therapeutic Paws of Canada has over five hundred TPOC volunteers visit with their dog and cat. They bring to those that have been separated from their beloved pet the opportunity to once again enjoy the love and companionship of a dog or cat. As well, many of our volunteers participate in the Paws To Read® program and help reluctant readers in schools and libraries.
Each charity will receive a minimum of $5,000.00. The remaining $10,000.00 will be donated by Purina to each charity based upon selections made by consumers who have purchased Purina® A Wonderfur Winter Treat Pack.
To participate just purchase a treat pack for your dog or car at one of the retailers listed below. Then go to the website at purinawonderfurwinter.ca or purinaunhiveraupoil.ca and enter the PIN number which is located on the inside of the box of treats. The number of votes received for TPOC will determine the amount of the $10,000.00 that the organization will receive.
As well, you may text “PET” to 99899 and make your selection by January 31, 2010.
Purina® A Wonderfur Winter Treat Pack will be available to the general public across Canada at the following retailers from October 2009 through December 2009 at the following locations:
Canadian Tire, Highland Farms, Metro, PJ’s Pets, Walmart, Longo’s, Mondou, Maxi, Dominion, Fortinos, Loblaws Independent, Loblaws – Zehrs, Provigo and Real Canadian Superstore.
Please share this information with your other doggie friends across Canada. This is a national campaign so help spread the word and please cross post the information to your family/friends. Ask them to cross post the information too.
We encourage members and their friends to buy a Christmas package for their pet and vote for TPOC.
Thanks in advance for supporting Therapeutic Paws of Canada

I snapped a few photos while I was there and if you were there and had your photo taken, please feel free to download them through the flickr page (click “all sizes” and choose your desired size).
If you’d like to see all of the photos taken at the seminar, the gallery is here.
