Pet Taxi

Going Green with your dog is a section that will feature Green Ideas to help you to be more environmentally aware, even with your pooch!

This installment is all about transportation. As we all know, dogs are not allowed on OC Transpo buses and trains. Petitions are out trying to see if this will ever change but in the meantime, what is a car-less Ottawatonian to do? The question of how to transport you and your pet to vet appointments, outings or even the pet store is a very big issue to those who don’t have a car.

Enter, Pets Go Taxi (235-PETS). A coworker suggested this to me this morning and I thought it was a great idea. Unlike conventional taxis, this one allows and encourages pets to come along! You have to book in advance and the word is that it’s pretty popular so call early!
