So officially this is a Kong video and I don’t think you necessarily need the official Kong products, but the theory behind it is great. We actually use small kongs for our dogs when we go out.
I make up a mixture of yogurt, peanut butter, bananas and a bit of honey then I put it into the Kong and freeze it to give them more of a challenge. They love it!
For the feeding, with our home cooked diet, using a treat ball of Kong wobbler won’t really work, but instead I fill Wellington’s treat ball with blueberries and she loves it!
Here is an example of a dog in action, eating from a Kong feeder (again, you don’t need the official Kong product, although they are good!). I saw these two kinds at Homesense this week.

My dog Lottie loves almost empty peanut butter containers (Plastic). Its a challenge to get the food at the bottom of the container.

I love to give food puzzles to my dogs. It’s so important for their mental health!! I made a video of my dog Caleb using a few of them, Aikiou food bowl, the tricky treats food ball and the kong.

No thanks! I will not be retiring my dog bowl. Who wants to clean or vacuum after each meal time?
@Nat – great video, thanks for sharing!
@Debbie – you are right, I never thought about that! I guess feeing in one of these isn’t a good idea if your dog is a messy eater.
LOL I give Tex a bone outside to chew. He does have 2 Kong’s which I think are great “outside”!!
