There has been a lot of talk about dogs going missing from their own back yards lately and I recently spoke with a reporter from the Ottawa Citizen about this.

Liz Bradley is a dog lover who lives in Ottawa, Ontario with her husband, Thomas, and their three little girls, Paddington, Corduroy and Wellington. Paddington is a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) and was born in September 2006 - she's a ball of energy and both Thomas and Liz love her to bits. Corduroy is a Malshi (Maltese/Shih Tzu) and was born in January 2008 - she is bold, determined and will lick you constantly if you let her. Wellington, our newest addition, is a one-year-old ShihTzu/Yorkie mix who we rescued in March from Animatch. She is full of energy and her favourite things are bananas, her Kong Wubba toy and curling up on her humans for a nap.

Hi, my dad lives in Greely, the East end of Ottawa. His dog was stolen Friday June 24 2011 around 9:30pm when he tied his dog up outside after a walk and went in the house for two minutes. Someone had untied the dog and taken him. My father is devastated. He is a brown Chow-Chow about 9 weeks old. He has a black band on his nose. I have pictures of the dog, we really want him back. There is a $500 REWARD for his return, please help us! My dad is heartbroken, we will do anything to get him back.. Please keep a close eye on your animals.. it took two seconds for him to be taken right off his collar and leash..
