We believe in having an awesome online community for Ottawa dog lovers to learn, support, and be crazy dog people.
Launched in 2008, the Ottawa Dog Blog is a resource for people in Ottawa about everything to do with dogs. It features dogs in Ottawa as well as rescues, dog stores and services, parks and offers general information about training, behaviours, outstanding products and more.
Liz Bradley, Founder
I’m a self-proclaimed nerd who loves to laugh. My best friend is my amazing husband and love, Thomas, and I adore our dogs, Paddington, Corduroy & Wellington (and dogs in general). I’m addicted to TV & DVDs, Prada & Burberry glasses, Coach purses & shoes, candy, grocery shopping, and organization.
Our three dogs are the lights of our lives. Paddington is a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) and was born in September 2006 – she’s a ball of energy and we love her to bits. Corduroy is a Malshi (Maltese/Shih Tzu) and was born in January 2008 – she is bold, determined and will lick you constantly if you let her. Wellington, our newest addition, was born in December 2009 and is a ShihTzu/Yorkie mix who we rescued in March 2011 from Animatch. She is full of energy and her favourite things are bananas, her Kong Wubba toy and curling up on her humans for a nap.

I believe in capturing the true spirit of each dog I photograph, where their personality leaps out of the photo and into our hearts.
My world revolves around storytelling through photography. Telling the story of each dog that I photograph, whether it be a cherished family pet or a Rescue Pawtrait of an adoptable dog looking for their forever home.
I photograph dogs and their humans, whatever they happen to be doing: getting married, hanging with their family, or strutting their stuff solo – four legged family members always make the sessions more fun.
Jane Kerrison, Managing Editor
I am Jane, writer and sidekick to my dog, Sonnet. She is a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix, born in February of 2011. She is named after a type of poem. Sonnet has a wonderful ability to make everyone love her, even people who normally aren’t comfortable around dogs. She loves people watching, walks, yogurt, chasing chipmunks and being with me.
I have two chronic illnesses, fibromyalgia and endometriosis, both of which leave me in constant pain. My doctor suggested that I get a dog to give me something positive to focus on. Sonnet brings light and laughter to even the most difficult days. I am so thankful that she is in my life.
I am a huge bookworm. I also love TV and movies, science fiction, yoga, photography, music, purple things and Harry Potter.

I have always loved writing. It is what I do best and what I love most.
I am passionate about the importance of books and literacy. I want my writing to make people realize how wonderful reading can be.
I want to work in as many genres as possible. I love poetry and fiction and write for both adults and children. I also love screenwriting and hope to work as a staff writer on a TV show. No matter what the style, when I’m writing, I know it is what I’m meant to do.
