URGENT Lost Yorkie!

Lulu is Lost!

She is a 2 year old brown and gray Yorkie by the name of Lulu. She has a heart shape medallion with her name on it. Her hair was recently cut. She was lost on 07/23/2010 near Ogilvie and City Park. URGENT – Lost Dog

URGENT - lost dog!

Amy was lost Friday June 11. Amy was last sighted around 4 pm close to Withrow and Harris Place. She was trying to be coaxed by 2 nice ladies who were trying to rescue her. Witness accounts say she was tagged by a car at low speed but still very mobile and ran off with the 2 ladies trying to catch her. Bylaw has not had any recent sightings of her. So I am hoping the 2 ladies were able to rescue her. Both Emergency Vets in town have no reports of a Malinois being admitted. The SPCA as well have had no news on Amy either.

Spring is here: Public Service Announcement

I sit here just torn apart by news I’ve just received. Two dogs went missing in the past week and both were hit by cars and did not survive their injuries. It is such terribly gut wrenching news and my heart goes out to both families.

Unfortunately in running this blog I see trends and one of them is the missing dog trends. It happens when the seasons change; winter to spring, fall to winter. I don’t know why, but it seems to happen this way.

Just to be safe, please make sure that as the snow melts you check your yard for any holes or gaps that may have formed. I know that this winter our (annoying) neighbourhood bunny made MANY holes in our fence and we are planning on fixing that soon and until we do, I never let the dogs out of my sight while they are in the yard.

Please make sure your four legged family members are safe, and give them a big hug tonight, for those two dogs who aren’t coming home…
